Daniel was born on the 31st of July 1986 in Blanes, Spain.
His father is Spanish and his mother is from the Netherlands. Daniel and his mother moved to Holland when he was 9 years old, in 1995.
 
In 1996, after having seen a country line dance demonstration. he starts dancing in a country dance club,
 
His first teaching experience was in 2004 at his Mother's dance school.
Roy Verdonk took Daniel with him and gave him the chance to teach around the world.
 
So in 2005, he felt confident enough to start his own dance classes, so Funky Dance Factory was born.
He loves to teach and share his knowledge and passion for dance with other people.
 
 
Since 2000, he competes and wins several titles in different levels.
One of his goals is reached in 2008, when he becomes a Megastar (highest division at the Wcdf). In 2011, he wins the World Championships in the Megastar division.
 
These wonderful results would never have been possible without the help, support, guidance and believe from the following people: Roy Verdonk, Raymond Sarlemijn, Darren Bailey, Anthony van Egmond and his mum Marianne.
In 2002, he starts at Roy Verdonk’s school and later the same year he auditiones for his kids’ team and becomes a member of it. With this team, they win several titles, e.g. World Champion 2006, 2007 and 2008.
 
In September 2003, Roy Verdonk asks him to join the Country Dynamics, which had been a dream come true.
